The goal of my blog…

The goal of my blog is to help you get a clearer understanding of healthy eating. To give you same specific and simple tips to become even healthier and to share the understandings I have come to through my own experiences.

I try to be as honest and transparent as one can be. I feel that in nutrition and health-related online articles are often very biased or just the important part of the truth is left out. And one of my goals is to add transparency and truthful experiences in those topics.

In this blog, I share with you what has worked for me and what new and interesting I am learning on the way.

I am no way near perfect, but I have spent lots of time reading about health and healthy eating. I am constantly trying to improve and to get better in any way. Therefore, I have been testing lots of staff that I come across and that seems reasonable. That includes diets and various different ways of eating.

MY STORY – How I became passionate with healthy eating?

I have always been interested in healthy eating and what is healthy food. Even when I was a child I remember asking others and pondering about what’s healthy.

For the past three years, I have been searching, learning and experiencing very intensely about what is healthy and what’s not.

The intense interest started from my desire to lose 6 pounds in the summer of 2014. I wanted to lose some weight but I did not want to go on a diet, because I thought diets are evil. 😈😈😈

Back then I could not find a solution so I started a diet anyway. The diet I chose was supposed to be healthy. I ended up gaining weight not losing it 🙂

Since that first diet that I tried, I have gone through at least 20 different diets and I can tell, even if I did lose weight (which, most of the time didn’t happen), I usually gained all of it soon after the diet had ended.

I almost quit…

With all that dieting I gained 15 pounds, so in the end of the year 2016, I “decided” that’s it! I figured I should eat just the way my body tells me to eat. The result – I gained 15 pounds more in just one month!

After that I really DECIDED – that’s it – I will lose all the weight and become healthy in the year 2017. About becoming healthy, well, I have been eating healthier than ever before for 6 months and lost over half of the weight by being quite healthy and the first half with, to be honest, with cruel starvation!!

I have come to conclusion that eating healthy can’t be defined as just being vegan or paleo or just doing the workouts. I also believe that what’s healthy for me might not be healthy for others. However, there seem to be some patterns that help us on the path of becoming healthy.

I love talking about food, making food, and creating new, great-tasting recipes. And I always try to find the healthiest way to create the best taste. I am sure healthy eating should taste even better than being unhealthy!
