I am quite lousy at training. However, I have very successfully lost weight nevertheless.
Enough for what?
It all depends on what your goal is. If your goal is to be healthy and long and have a lot of energy then you need to workout now and then.
However, if your goal is to lose weight, then NO you don’t need to work out. Diet is the key in losing weight, but working out can always help lose weight faster. Plus exercise will tone your body so you will look even prettier.
Diet is 80-90% and exercise is 20-10%
I have read a lot such percent ratio – in health and in weight loss Diet is essential and exercise is benefit which you might or might not have. Exercise is the part without you can still be successful.
Just before you move on, I want to make sure you understand – exercise is the best gift for your body and your longevity!
What kind of workout is the best?
You need some from everything:
- Some cardio is essential for your heart.
- Some yoga-like workout can help you relax your mind and spirit.
- Most essential is weight-training
- To really tone your body you need to lift weights and build real muscle.
I must say that I like variety and that’s why I do what I feel my body need right now.
To sum up, I must say that what you like can play huge role in what kind of training you should do – if you don’t like weights and you try to lift weights all the time, then it usually ends with you not exercising at all.
Just diet is not enough for health and longevity. However, it is only the weight you want to lose then diet is enough!
